Sound is more than what we hear\u2014it is what we feel.
When we listen closely\u2014
to music, nature, or the quiet inside us\u2014
we open to something deeper.
These simple moments of resonance have the power to transform.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Sound is all around us, all the time \u2014 much of it we barely notice.\u00a0 We live inside a field of vibration, yet we rarely pause to listen.\u00a0\u00a0At its core, sound is movement \u2014 and it holds the potential to stir movement within our lives.<\/p>

Sound is how the invisible becomes felt.<\/p>

The Sounds We Cannot Hear<\/h5>

Some sound falls outside our hearing range \u2014 like infrasound (too low to hear) or ultrasound (too high) \u2014 yet still affects our bodies and surroundings.\u00a0\u00a0Some birds sing in frequencies that rise beyond what human ears can hear \u2014 tones that other birds can hear, but we cannot.\u00a0\u00a0These ultrasonic notes are all around us, unheard but not unfelt.<\/p>

There\u2019s something lovely in this: that not all of nature\u2019s music is meant to be heard with the ears.\u00a0\u00a0Some of it seems made for other birds, or other layers of perception \u2014 perhaps even for the earth itself.<\/p>

In my own journey with sound, I return often to this:
Some of the most powerful resonances are the ones we don\u2019t even realize we\u2019re hearing.\u00a0\u00a0They\u2019re not always loud. But they\u2019re real.\u00a0\u00a0They are no less powerful for their gentleness.\u00a0\u00a0In fact, it is often the quietest sounds that reach the deepest parts of us.<\/p>

A Short Practice: Listening Beyond the Ears<\/h5>

Here is a gentle practice to reconnect with sound, presence, and the unseen layers of perception.<\/p>

Settle Into Stillness<\/strong>
Find a quiet space.
Sit or lie down comfortably and allow your body to soften.
Let your breath become slow and natural.<\/p>

Close Your Eyes<\/strong>
Turn your attention inward.
Feel your connection to whatever is supporting you right now \u2014 the chair, the floor, the earth.
Notice subtleties within yourself: hums, pulses, or quiet movement.
You are entering the space where sound is felt as much as heard.<\/p>

Begin Listening<\/strong>
Open your awareness to the sounds around you \u2014 not trying to name or judge them, just receiving:
– A distant bird
– The hum of electricity
– Even the spaces between sounds<\/p>

Listen for What You Can\u2019t Hear<\/strong>
Imagine that some sounds \u2014 like the upper tones of birdsong \u2014 are present but beyond your hearing range.
Welcome them anyway.
Trust that what you can\u2019t hear may still be reaching you, stirring you.<\/p>

Anchor With Intention<\/strong>
Place your hand on your heart or throat and gently say (aloud or within):
\u201cI am listening \u2014 with more than my ears.
I am open to what is subtle, unseen, and real.\u201d<\/p>

Patiently Listen<\/strong>
Thoughts will wander in.
Simply return to yourself with an energetic tidal wave of love \u2014 this is really important.
Stay with the experience until you feel ready to return.<\/p>

Close with a Breath<\/strong>
Inhale deeply.
Exhale with a soft sigh.
When you’re ready, open your eyes.<\/p>

Let this quality of listening follow you into the next part of your day.<\/strong>
This practice helps us listen with more than just our ears, and honors sound as a living presence \u2014 not just a concept.<\/p>

Safe and Sound<\/h5>

The phrase safe and sound has long meant arriving unharmed, but I\u2019ve come to hear something deeper in it.\u00a0\u00a0Safe speaks to shelter \u2014 the feeling of being held and protected.\u00a0\u00a0But sound \u2014 not just as \u201cuninjured,\u201d but as resonance \u2014 hints at something more: the return of inner harmony.<\/p>

To be safe and sound might mean more than just surviving;\u00a0it could mean arriving back in tune with ourselves\u2026 intact not only in body, but in spirit.<\/p>

And that is really what this space is about \u2014\u00a0listening more deeply, softening into presence, and slowly arriving\u2026 safe and sound.\u00a0<\/b>\u00a0From this place of safety, we can open space for healing and expression.<\/span><\/p>

Let us begin now \u2014 not by straining to hear, but by softening into the sound that is already here, waiting to be felt.<\/p>

A Quiet Blessing for the Journey Beyond<\/h5>

Some sounds are too subtle to hear,
but I believe they\u2019re still here \u2014
frequencies from higher realms,
just outside our ordinary awareness.<\/p>

Whether we call them angelic, energetic, or simply unseen,
they don\u2019t push or perform.
They respond to presence.<\/p>

May you sense what\u2019s quietly reaching you \u2014
and trust that what\u2019s meant for you
